Brasilia Governor lauds UAE's medical aid to fight COVID-19

Governor of Brasilia Province Ibaneis Rocha recently hailed the humanitarian support and medical aid provided by the UAE to Brazil amid the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The UAE's medical aid helped in strengthening the efforts of thousands of medical professionals in Brazil as they work at the forefront to contain the spread of the virus.

Governor Ibaneis Rocha made these remarks during a meeting with the UAE Ambassador to Brazil, Saleh Ahmad Salem Al Suwaidi, wherein the two leaders discussed various prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Brasilia and key areas to boost investments in the province.

Ambassador Al Suwaidi underlined the significance of UAE's international positioning as a global centre of trade and re-export. In addition, he spoke about the many investment opportunities provided by the UAE with the help of its strategic location, advanced logistical capabilities, state-of-the-art modern infrastructure, and vast diversity of industrial and economic resources.

At the same time, Ambassador Al Suwaidi stressed on the Emirati embassy's keenness and readiness in providing all kinds of assistance for promoting mutual economic and trade ties between the two regions.
