Amid the ongoing efforts to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Dubai Tourism on Thursday halted the issuance of entertainment permits across the emirate. The decision was taken by the authorities to ensure the health and safety of the community members in Dubai.

The Dubai Media Office took to Twitter to announce that all the entertainment permits issued in the emirate will be on hold with immediate effect with the aim of preventing the spread of the virus. The Dubai Tourism also affirmed that it will continue to evaluate the progress in the COVID-19 fight with the health authorities in the emirate.

In the announcement on Twitter, the Dubai Media Office also stated that the authorities have shut down at least 20 establishments and issues 200 violations for breaching the COVID-19 preventive measures in the past three weeks.
