Abu Dhabi to continue distance learning in schools for next 3 weeks

In the wake of recent surge in Covid-19 cases, Abu Dhabi decided to extend distance learning in schools for next three weeks. On Saturday, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee announced its decision, urging schools to continue imparting education through e-learning platforms for all classes starting from Sunday, January 17.

The committee took the step "as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the virus and safeguard the health and safety of the schooling community." Besides, to ensure a safer environment for students, the committee asked the parents, guardians, all the school staff members to get vaccinated against COVID-19, "to protect themselves against the virus and help develop comprehensive protection for the wider community, which will accelerate the safe return to schools."
