Abu Dhabi officials released an updated list of countries that are a part of the ‘Green List’

People from these places will have easier arrival in Abu Dhabi, officials update ‘Green List’

Abu Dhabi has updated its list of countries that are a part of the ‘Green List’ on Monday. The officials last released the updates on March 8. The list announced at the start of this week includes 12 different places.

One of the countries that have been left out of the ‘Green List’ in Kazakhstan following a rise in the number of cases in a very abrupt manner. The Kazakhstan government too sent out guidelines and restrictions to ensure that there is not much movement in the country and even if there is, it is with proper guidelines.

Other than that, the 12 places on the list have been awarded the exemption of any mandatory quarantine measures. Passengers who will be arriving from these places do not have to follow the compulsory measures in Abu Dhabi which people from elsewhere will have to stick by. The only compulsion is that they have to undergo PCR testing upon their arrival at the Airport.

The destinations in the list include--Australia, Bhutan, Brunei, China, Greenland, Hong Kong(SAR0, Iceland, Mauritius, Morocco, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore. The list had been updated after march 8 by the department of culture and tourism of the emirate.

Apart from the update, the department also stressed that Green List is only applicable for the countries where the passengers are arriving from and has no role where they are heading nor it has anything to do with their citizenship. The list has been made to ensure that any entry in the UAE does not bother with the safety and well-being of the community in the Emirati nation.

As for the countries that are not on the list, passengers will have to go into self-quarantine after taking some regular coronavirus tests. The quarantine can be done either in a hotel or home for 10 days.

Getting a PCR test is also compulsory for visitors arriving in Abu Dhabi as per the last updates made, which were in January this year. The PCR test has to be done on day 4 and day 8 of your stay in the emirate starting from the date of arrival.

For the emiratis, the coronavirus vaccination drive is already in place. You can check the status on the Alhosn application and as per the developers, if you have received the vaccines, the letter ‘E’ will appear in your app after you have gone through a PCR test 28 days after the second shot.

For as long as the letter appears in your application, you are eligible for exempting compulsory testing in other places.
